Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder

The sexy Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 goes topless with this new Spyder edition, which takes the drop top Gallardo up from the old 519 PS engine to the new LP560-4’s 5.2 liter V10 producing 560 horsepower and 540Nm of torque sent to all four-wheels. Other numeric improvements are found in the time it takes to swap cogs, which is now 40% faster in the Corsa mode of the E-Gear single clutch automated transmission. The time it takes to open the soft top remains the same at about 20 seconds. Will Clarkson plonk down some cash for one to replace his 2006 Gallardo Spyder?

New 2.2L MZR-CD turbodiesel for Mazda 6

The second generation Mazda 6 was initially offered with 120hp 1.8 liter, 2.0 liter and 170hp 2.5 liter petrol engines as well as a 2.0 liter turbodiesel producing 140hp.

Mazda has now replaced the diesel engine with a new 2.2 liter MZR-CD turbodiesel engine with a variable geometry turbocharger to the line-up, which comes in 3 states of tune - 125 PS with 310Nm of torque, 163 PS with 360Nm of torque and the most powerful of the entire European line-up which is the 185 PS version with 400Nm of torque.

The fuel injection pressure has also increased from the 2.0 liter engine’s 180 MPa up to 200 MPa, an improvement of 11%. The injectors now feature 10 spray holes per injector instead of the 6-hole design of the old engine.

0 to 100km/h takes 10.9 seconds, 9.2 seconds and 8.5 seconds respectively for each state of tune. As a comparison, the old 140hp 2.0 liter diesel did it in 10. 7 seconds. Depending on which version we’re talking about, the new 2.2 liter MZR-CD can return between 51.4mpg to 49.6mpg, and emi between 147g/km to 152g/km of CO2.

Jam again !

After spending few years in building the new road, cross over the Braddle Road to Lornie Road... I thought that I will see smoother traffic and will reach office earlier.

Now... my journey takes at least 15 minutes longer... sigh...

Blaupunkt TravelPilot 500 & 700

Now this is one really high-end GPS portable navigation system. The new Blaupunkt TravelPilot 500 and 700 actually has a map mode that displays a video feed captured from an integrated camera and superimposes the navigation directional arrows onto it!

This gives you a better idea of where exactly to make your turning, assuming the map data matches the road layout precisely and things don’t change often. The device can also detect speed limit signage and display the current speed limit on the screen to remind you of how fast you can go legally on the current stretch of road.

When you’re not on the move, it can even function as a DVB-T television, or playback DivX videos or any other formats such as MPEG2, Quicktime, WMV, and even audio files ranging from AAC to WMA and nearly everything in between!

Apparently the 700 model also has an email client and a web browser to go together wit hits Wifi support. Truly madness, so much packed into one device!
